On October 29, 1969, the first message was sent between two computers: one at UCLA and the other at the Stanford Research Institute. Researchers attempted to send the word βLOGIN,β but the system crashed after transmitting only the first two letters: βLO.β π
Even though the message was incomplete, it became the first communication between computers over a networkβa historic moment that marked the beginning of the Internet as we know it today. πβ¨
